Argentina Golden Team won Preolimpics 2011 in MDP classified to Olympics 2012

No matter how talented a person is,success can only be achieved through teamwork. So, in order to succeed, one must be prepared to park one's ego. This attitude can provide the formula for success as the Argentina basketball team prepares for the 2012 Olympics.

When working as a team, people  learn about attributes of others - attributes that help achieving the winning edge. Focusing on each other's strengths, while minimizing attention on  weaknesses, permits the team to pool the best each has to offer toward a common goal.

To be successful, team members need to display a degree of humility and respect for one another. Anger should be put in check. This engenders a sense of loyalty a common purpose.

These characteristics have contributed to the success of the Golden Team. One needs only to look at Julio Lamas to best understand this as a coach and Luis Scola, Manu Ginobili, Fabricio Oberto, Andres Nocioni, Carlos Delfino ,Pablo Prigioni, Paolo Quinteros , Pepe Sanchez , Hernan Jasen , Leo Gutierrez,, Federico Kammerichs

Because the team comes first, ,example of this Luis Scola  repeatedly pushes himself beyond what he might otherwise expect of himself. Just when his physical strength appears exhausted, the adrenaline kicks in - the will to win takes over - and he appears stronger than ever. As we can say more like Fabricio Oberto who dedicated with allot of intense , care and conviction to be `part of this team . 

The end result is a remarkable and unforgettable basketball team. One in which players set aside their desires to achieve individual success - working together for the one goal of winning.

It is a lesson that can be taken off the court and adapted in all walks of life.

We the fans owe a debt of gratitude to Manu Ginobili, Luis Scola , Carlos Delfino, Chapu Nocioni, Fabricio Oberto, Fede Kammerichs and the others. Not to be forgotten, the support the players get from sports reporters, coaches, trainers.

We look forward to great success as Team Argentina prepares for the 2012 London Olympics. As we cheer our team on, we should take the time to recognize as a nation that what we will see on the court is a metaphor for life itself. No matter what role we play in society.
